This
trip to the north west highland of Mai Chau offers a
balance of cultural and physical activities set
amongst some northern Vietnam's stunning natural
landscape. We spend the night within walking distance
of Mai Chau and overnight in a White Thai village
where we have opportunities to observe the local
lifestyle of these minority people. From the
mountainous region of Mai Chau, we travel back to the
nations capital, Hanoi.
ITINERARY
Day
1: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Poom Coong village (Lunch
and Dinner included)
We depart Hanoi at 0800 heading west towards Hoa Binh
province. Following lunch in Mai Chau town we spend
the afternoon walking through the ethnic minority
villages in this area. Tonight we will be hosted by a
family from Poom Coong village. In sampling these
peoples hospitality, we find out a little more of
their lives and cultures with a cultural exchange
following the evening meal. Night stay in Village
Day
2: Mai Chau - Xa Linh - Hang Kia - Poom Coong (Breakfast,
lunch, dinner included)
This morning we have the opportunity to stroll around
Lac village before we depart 0900. Our first stop for
the day will be Xa Linh village, where you will walk
for 2 hours to see B'Lack H'Mong and Red H'Mong tribes
. We get to the village
around 11:00 and spend for our lunch there then we continuing
set out 2 hours of easy walk
onto Hang Kia village . From here it is a 1-hour
drive back to Mai Chau. Home Stay in Mai

Day
3: Mai Chau - Boat trip on Da river - Hanoi (Breakfast
& lunch included)
This morning we depart on our return journey to
Hoa Binh town for lunch. Boat trip on DaRiver about 3
hours. From here it is a 2-hour drive back to Hanoi.
We will arrive in Hanoi around 18:00.
